IDK....

My apologies for not posting last week.  I caught the bug that a lot of us had and not only was I lazy with my writing but I was lazy with my hair care.  Yea I know.  Shame on me.  Thank goodness my job allows me to wear knit hats because I just couldn't wake up early enough to run a comb through my hair.  I've gotten better so I should get back to my normal self.
Not much has changed with my hair.  I had my ends trimmed for New Year's to start the year off right.  I must say that I love getting my ends trimmed.  I feel a sense of freshness each time as the dead weight falls off.  Also it makes my hair look nice and clean with a drastic style.  Trimming my ends also gets me closer to having a full head of curls instead of opting for the BIG CHOP!  I just can't bring my self to do it, as I've mentioned before.
Well I hate to keep it short and sweet but I didn't have much to inform you all about this week.  Well its tax time so let's hope I'll be able to use a portion of my refund to invest into a great flat iron.  Until next time ;)

Happy New Year!!!!

Hope you all had a great 2010 and I know big things will come for everyone in 2011.  Something I'm looking forward to this new year is approaching my first anniversary in going natural.  As I continue on this journey I'm enjoying the process to see what potential my hair has.  Last week I showed you all some trial and error in styling my natural hair.  It didn't go so well and one would think that I would just give up....Well I'm not a quitter.

Here's my second and third attempt to my attempts....

So again I tried to twist my hair but instead of going with the coils I rolled the twists in a roller.  And the result...

I know....

But this part was nice.

So we let it show :)

Of course I didn't stop there.  The next day I tried just rolling my hair without the twists.  And....

Now the problem here is that this side just won't curl right.  I don't know maybe I'm not curling it right....

Again One side went well.  So we showed it :)

I showed all of this to my hairstylist and she told me to stop.  Well she just made sure I didn't go out in public like that.  I won't.  I just want to practice so when my anniversary comes I'll know what to do.  So I guess next week I'll show you my fourth attempt.  Well until then...;)

P.S.  I think I may try to post more than just once a week.  This way I won't procrastinate and forget what I wanted to share.  Ok see ya ;)
